14U Triumphs Again!

PITTSBURGH, PA — Over Thanksgiving weekend, the Shooting Stars 14U TB team skated in The Burgh Thanksgiving Girls Fest, part of a series of tournaments hosted by Premier Ice Prospects.

After blanking the Metro Jr. Jets (MI) 9-0, the Stars won two close, hard-fought games, 4-3 against the Pittsburgh Steel City Selects and 2-1 against the Cambridge Roadrunners from Ontario, earning the first seed after pool play.

In the semi-final, the Stars again ran roughshod over the Metro Jr. Jets 9-0. In the championship game, the Stars fell behind 3-0 before rattling off five unanswered goals, then locking things down for a 5-4 victory and their second tournament title of the year!

Congratulations to the whole 14U TB squad on a tremendous effort! Their record on the season is now 17-2!
