14U Wins Niagara Showdown!

NIAGARA FALLS, NY — On the weekend of October 24-26, 2025, our 14U tournament-bound team took part in the 53rd annual Niagara Showdown, one of a series of Gene Harrington Hockey Tournaments in the greater Buffalo area.

In their opening game, the Shooting Stars squared off against the Cleveland Lady Barons and came away with a 3-0 victory. In the second game of the day, the Stars faced a perennial rival, the Rochester Edge, and led all the way en route to a 3-1 win.

On the second day of the tournament, the Stars faced the Edge again and managed a hard-fought 2-1 victory. The Stars completed the round robin by cruising past the Lady Barons 8-0.

On championship Sunday, the Stars went up against the Edge for the third straight day. After taking a 4-1 lead, the Stars withstood a late surge by the Edge to win 4-3 and claim the title!
