16U Takes the Banner at Home!

ITHACA, NY — This past weekend, five Stars teams from 8U to 16U played in their home tournament, the 26th annual Kevin R. Talty Shooting Stars Tournament.

The 16U team went undefeated in the round robin, cruising past the Buffalo Regals 11-0 before narrowly beating the Oswego Lady Buccaneers 2-1 and outlasting the Pittsburgh Steel City Selects 4-2, which earned them the #1 seed.

In the championship game, the Stars faced the Lady Bucs, who earned the #2 seed over the Steel City Selects based on goal ratio. This time, the Stars took it to the Lady Bucs, scoring in each period en route to a convincing 5-0 victory.
